Little Pig, Little Pig, Let Me Come In!

I wanted to share some of the illustrations my family came up with for this family project I've been working on for my husband's 60th birthday. He has told his own versions of these familiar fairy tales throughout the years, delighting both his children and grandchildren. We took his most requested tale, The Three Little Pigs and had each of the family members illustrate a couple of pages. We are having it made into a hardbound book to give to him. He doesn't get on the computer so I'm not too concerned that he will see this. These are just some random ones I'll show. We filled 40 pages and I'm so pleased with everyone's efforts. Some used collage, others word art, wood-block print, photos or traditional methods. Ages 3 - 36. I know he will treasure this.

Wow! He is one lucky guy to have such an artistic and loving family. Better have a hanky ready when you give it to him, there may be tears.

Seriously creatively brilliantly delightfully enchanting! Every single page reflects each of the kids. Can't wait to see the finished product and hear what the 'magical story teller' had to say when he saw it. Get it on video for sure!

What a treasure for Vance. The pictures are wonderful, every one of them. I'll bet he loved the book. I would love to see it . . . could you display it during book club this month?
