Beauty Sketch

Trying to get a particular look for this Beauty. Many of my photo references are of well known Asian actresses. I tried to pull away from them to a more illustrative look that is my own. I've also been playing with the layering of silhouettes and values to help her face come forward without that white powdered face of a geisha. I have one more week to get this looking half-way decent. Panic ensues.

Kim, i do love the look of this piece it has some of my favourite influences, the japanese woodblock & art nouveau lines, yum, and its working beautifully already. I get that butterly tummy churning feeling when a deadline approaches!

Thank you Ruthie. LOL. My deadline feeling is more of an acid-like, eating-through-the-lining-of-my-stomach pain.

I like the look you are getting - it is amazing how subtle the value differences can be and still turn the form.

Thank you Jeremy. The whole turning of the form thing gets confusing to me. If you know of some trick, I'd love to hear it.
