Oil Painting Class

I've been taking a beginning oil class at a local community center. This is my first assignment using black and white. He doesn't trust me with colors yet. This is a value study of one of my daughters. I took a whole bunch of photos of her dressed up as Cinderella escaping from the palace. I'm taking a more medieval twist on the costume and setting instead of the typical Disney interpretation.

whaddya talkn' about?? I think this is great. Beautiful lighting and great expression on her face. The values seem right on and I'd love to see it in color.

You know, your "favorite" daughter is still waiting for you to use her...well,...her hand in one of your drawings. I've kept it soft and baby-butt smooth all winter long just waiting for our turn. Maybe when you get a free moment.....you know where to find us.
