Oh man, this is embarrassing. I can't even remember when I started this one either. Worked on it most of the afternoon. I had the under painting already down on this canvas with some of the flesh and things blocked in. Changed up my palette for this one. Used the colors listed on Aaron Miller's
blog for John Singer Sargent.

I really like these. You're doing well with the oils.
Thank you Kevin. Congratulations on your book deal.
I LOVE it Kim. I love her expression and the light, and you've done a fantastic job painting her. Just gorgeous :) And, I got Linger yesterday!! Did you?
I visited the studio of an artist friend of mine who regularly puts away half finished projects for sometimes years and then waits until she figures out how to finish them. Sometimes time is the missing ingredient.
I think this is well worth finishing! I love the light falling on her profile and the flesh tones are really fresh and full of form... especially wih the very dark background throwing her forward... lovely!
Crystal, Thank you and yes, I received Linger the same day. I have been holding off until I finish some art goals. A little incentive never hurts.
Rebecca, I agree with you. I took these as far as I could when I first began them. I didn't have the skill to move forward. Not that I have it now, but I do see some progress. Thank you.
Carrie, Thank you for your kind words.
