Fred Final

Here is the final for Fred. I ended up using acrylic and colored pencil. As I said before, the lines are quite angular but I believe they will be diffused and softened to accommodate the script. Trying to get 2 pages finished each week. No more personal projects for awhile, but it will feel so good to have this job finished.

"My cat tree....mine", purred Fred.

Yes, so nice to complete jobs... and pieces of art. I love completing a piece. Such a charming look on this cats face, satisfied with the catch or cat nip?

Thank you Tammie. If he looks content and satisfied to you then I am pleased.

That's a great layout Kim, well done!

We'll be starting a children's book illustration project in class very soon and I will be sure to follow the progress your project here just to see if I can learn a few additional things.

I really like how you did Fred; how you colored him makes him look so real instead of a "cartoon". I also really like the grandma's expression. I know you're relieved to have this part done - but hopefully you are finding the joy in your creation of Fred. Good job mom!
