Second Attempt on Bast, Prince of Twilight

I posted this last week, but something wasn't right about him so I tried again to fix the problems. Hope this is better. As I said before, Bast is this rather mysterious character from Patrick Rothfuss's book, Name of the Wind. He is the apprentice to Kvothe, who is the main character of the story. We know he's Fae and can be fiercely loyal to his master. He's 150 years old and his appearance is altered for human eyes through a glamour spell. I think. We still don't know much about him. His full title is Bastas, son of Remmen, Prince of Twilight and the Telwyth Mael.

Hey, I was looking through all your art work, and I must say, you are fantastic!

I was wondering, though, you posted a post about Katniss from the Hunger Games and I was just wondering if you drew a picture of her? If so I would love to see it! Anyways, Awesome work!

Thank you Krista! Can you believe how many books we both enjoy? Can't wait for Catching Fire, Hunger Games sequel. I haven't done anything more on Katniss since I've been busy with a commission. But I hope to return to her and Dale and Petra. Have you read any works by Maggie Stiefvater? I think you'd like her. Thanks again.

Beautiful work! I think that glamour spell is working! And I would like to get my hands on some myself. :)

It's really cool that we like the same kind of books, because then I get to see all your awesome fan art! LOL! I can't wait for Catching Fire either, so much so I already preordered it.LOL!

No, I haven't read any work by Stiefvater I'll have to look her up, thanks!

Oh, I really loved your Kvothe as well! May I ask though which color one was your finished product? Or if you have a different finished product? I really liked them both. I think for me I liked the one with the brighter red hair more(that's just how I pictured him with flaming red hair). You have his face as a young man down perfectly, as well as his blue cloak, green eyes, and lute. Wonderful. All your art is wonderful, though! LOL!

Thanks Krista. I am finishing up the colored one right now. Pat has asked for both the pencil and colored. Thanks for your input. I keep looking around when I go out to see if I can find someone with that "flaming red" hair color. No luck yet. Thanks again for your comments.

Oh, it is so cool that you're doing them for Pat the main man! Congrats, that's awesome! Do you get to meet him? Or do you just send it to him? I hope you get to meet him, which would be so cool! Make sure to get an autograph for me too! LOL! (J/K)
Really though, I would love to see your finished product.

And you are more then welcome and deserving!

It's THE Name Of The Wind. Great drawing but you might want to fix that title for the sake of the fans. =)

Really hoping Patrick does a work on Bast once the Kingkiller Chronicle is done. Pretty intruiging fella. Beautiful artwork.
