Society of Illustrators LA

Been down and out with the longest running flu I've ever encountered but wanted to end this year on a happy note. The three pieces I submitted to the Society of Illustrators LA were accepted into the competition. I didn't win any awards but being accepted has it's merits. Also accepted were Marc Scheff, Mark Williams, and Elisabeth Alba, all former IMCers and mentorshipers. Greg Manchess, Rebecca Guay, and Hala Swearingen, former instructors of one form or another, received awards in the Gallery and Editorial divisions. Have a Happy New Year Everyone!

 "Beneath the Surface"
 "Detour"
"Holes"

Congratulations on having the pieces accepted. Yes, acceptance in a prestigious competition is a huge bonus to ego and to wonderful acknowlegement from ones peers.

These pieces are fabulous, I love them all, but have a fondness for "Beneath the Surface", probably because there's water in it. You do amazing work.

Flu is nasty and takes so long to recover from. I hope you'll feel better soon.

Best wishes for a happy and healthy New Year.
