The BIG 60!

Back when I started this blog, I probably had 10 followers and they were all family members. I am so overwhelmed at the number of you good folk who visit here,...whether you leave an occasional comment or simply pause and then move on to the next blog in your Google Reader. Either way, I am grateful. Since returning from my grandmothering hiatus, I noticed my blog view count is almost at the 60,000th notch which, my dear readers, is significant, since (drum roll) I am in my 60th year. WOW! That use to be so old to me. It's the new 50, right?? Anywho, to celebrate the BIG 60, I'm giving away an 8"x10" print of "The Minstrel", based on the Kvothe character from Patrick Rothfuss', Kingkiller Chronicles

All you do is leave a comment of 6 words or more, making sure I have access to your email address to contact you. At midnight MST, on the 6th of August, I will take the names and put them in a bowl and randomly pull out a winner. It's that easy.

Hopefully, I will come close to the 60,000 mark, but even if I don't, thank you so much for visiting and sharing a tidbit of my life....old as it is. 60 is just a number, right?? GOOD LUCK!

Congrats on your 60th! It was your version of Kvothe as "The Minstrel" that first intrigued me, so I'd definitely like to try and win a print. :)

Happy 60th Kim!!! 60 is SO young, really I do think so. My mom is 68 and she still seems young to me. I have absolutely loved every minute of following your blog Kim, and getting to know you too and I would be absolutely thrilled to win a print of Kvothe. I just saw the name of the wind in paperback at B & N (which I hadn't seen before) and am going to go back and buy it specifically because of your recommendation. And all your fabulous art of the characters too. :) Here's to 60,000 more!!

Kim, I'm sorry you weren't at the IMC this year. I had to find someone else to model for my Isolde. I thought she'd be a great follow up for posing for Joan a couple of years ago.

Kim, just stumbled on your Kvothe picture in an internet search and it is fantastic! I really can't imagine a depiction of Kvothe that better matches how I've imagined him. Truly excellent work!
