Ode to Autumn

"A tangerine and russet cascade
Of kaleidoscopic leaves
Creates a tapestry of autumn magic
Upon the emerald carpet of fading summer."-
Judith A. Lindberg

"Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower."
Albert Camus
"Thy bounty shines in autumn unconfined

And spreads a common feast for all that live."

James Thomson

"Come said the wind to the leaves one day,

Come o're the meadows and we will play.

Put on your dresses scarlet and gold,

For summer is gone and the days grow cold."

- A Children's Song of the 1880's

"Winter is an etching, spring a watercolor, summer an oil painting
and autumn a mosaic of them all."

- Stanley Horowitz

Your sons fall photos are lovely.
I think I love fall best. Summers always feel so hard to me. Fall bring relief.
The poems say it best. Very nice post~thank goodness fall is here!~
