Since learning some new techniques, I've wanted to return to some of my older ideas and try a different approach. Plus, I have so many references from the photo shoot for this colored pencil drawing I did back in 2006?, it seemed a shame not to use them. Here is the old drawing. I am grateful that it made it into Spectrum 14 and it is fun to see it on the Verithin packaging but YIKES! There's so much I would like to fix, if I could. (That hand!! let me redo the hand!).

So, using another photo and building upon what I've learned...hopefully, I've started another painting. Here is the new one...very rough, but it's all I had time for today. I began with a sketch, scanned it in and used a watercolor texture layer (thanks, Abigail Ryder) to start my digital painting. I'll post more as I progress.
