Thanks, Shirley, Recently I saw these original paintings of flowers in a local gallery. The artist paints watercolors on a texture gessoed surface. The technique I tried on this was an experiment of sorts between her method and that of the lift out method I've blogged about awhile ago. Let me know if you give it a try. Thanks for stopping by.
Great work! You are really getting this technique down. It almost looks like you've painted on fine linen ... but it's hard to tell for sure on the Internet.

You have such a delicate, ethereal touch...it can make your mind wander in and out of the piece for a long time. There are things that are spelled out, and things unsaid, so that the viewer can think their own thoughts. Always so lovely and so interesting!
