Here is the final for Fred. I ended up using acrylic and colored pencil. As I said before, the lines are quite angular but I believe they will be diffused and softened to accommodate the script. Trying to get 2 pages finished each week. No more personal projects for awhile, but it will feel so good to have this job finished.

We'll be starting a children's book illustration project in class very soon and I will be sure to follow the progress your project here just to see if I can learn a few additional things.
I really like how you did Fred; how you colored him makes him look so real instead of a "cartoon". I also really like the grandma's expression. I know you're relieved to have this part done - but hopefully you are finding the joy in your creation of Fred. Good job mom!
