My first experiment started with a manual sketch. This time, I thought I would try the photo. Hope that helps. The Art of Kim Kincaidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11725289404334038843noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7979346361840826119.post-41760599438975921922011-08-02T19:10:32.661-07:002011-08-02T19:10:32.661-07:00So you're still staying fairly faithful to Reb...So you're still staying fairly faithful to Rebecca Guay's techniques in this one. Does Rebecca ever use a digital underdrawing or does she do her initial sketches manually, Kimberly?K. Then I added different clothing and the flowers in the hair. Then found a pendant, made it big and put it behind the head. Flattened the layers and then continued to draw and then color in Photoshop. Flattened all layers, ghosted another layer and printed on watercolor paper. It's very faint but I reinforce the lines with a brown Verithin, and then paint on top after putting one layer of matte medium. I'm not too worried with composition or color. Just want to go with the flow. Hope that helps. The Art of Kim Kincaidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11725289404334038843noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7979346361840826119.post-42975562606637653982011-08-02T18:22:12.038-07:002011-08-02T18:22:12.038-07:00So tell a little more of this? Does that help do you think?tlchanghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10259427561396960607noreply@blogger.com
